Brief

Produce a photographic essay exploring a subject of your choice, comprising 10-20 images. Your images could aim to educate and/or entertain and/or inform.

Idea

My planning included ideas of the Deep, fireworks, the park or town. I chose the park and picked a park called “East Park” because it near my home and there is lots of things to see like ducks, water, trees, the park and people.
My plan was to take shots of the park on a Sunday morning or afternoon. I used my digital camera to take shots of the park, to show people at the park and to show a quiet part of the park with the wildlife like the ducks, water and trees.

Research

I started researching and looked for examples of photos in a park. First I researched people who have taken photos of East Park in Hull and I found a man named ‘Brian M Archibald’ had taken photo of the park. His photos looked very interesting because it has showed pictures of ducks, trees and water with reflection.

Also I looked for another photo of Kingston upon Hull. It shows amazing different images in different places in Hull (examples: Humber Bridge, Hull Fair, Princes Quay and etc).

Review

I enjoyed the photo essay project because it was fun to take shots in the park and trying to find interesting photo. I didn’t use a camera from Hull College, I used my digital camera because it is easy to use and quick. I took 20 images of East Park but I have chosen which I think are my best photos and pictures. I put these on my website and flickr, on flickr Ihave documented and wrote about each image. Next time I need to take more images and include different angles and close up shots this will make my pictures/ images more interesting.
