Brief
My final piece of work must consist of 3 portraits of another student or family in 3 differing styles and one self portrait that you feel most effectively conveys your personality.
I must also produce one portrait in the style of another photographer you have come across in your research, or already know of. Try to simulate the lighting/composition and overall style of the photographer.
Idea
My ideas photo is take shot myself, my dog and my brother's baby. I trying to find interesting photo like close up, my face, my hand etc.
Research
I started researching and looked for examples of photographers. I chose Jane Bown, Yousuf Karsh, Mario Testino and David Baily. All photos looked very interesting because it has showed great light, shadow, dark light, bight colours and black & white photo.
Review
I enjoyed the photo essay project because it was fun to take shots and trying to find interesting photo. I didn’t use a camera from Hull College, I used my digital camera because it is easy to use and quick. I took 20 images but I have chosen which I think are my best photos and pictures. I put these on my website and flickr, on flickr I have documented and wrote about each image. Now I understand about lighting and composition.
