When I was informed about these tasks I decided to choose the subject area of 'Everything has been done before, nothing is original.' This was something that I felt would relate quite well to my chosen subject of web design. This was due to my opinion on not many designs being original in this current era of design. The other tasks that I had for Cats would be started once my essay had been completed.
For my essay I decided to use websites such as siteinspire.com and awwwards.com as these two websites displayed work from web designers all over the world but also showed similar designs. I decided to focus most of my essay on the use of minimalistic design. This is something that I have quite a keen interest in within the design world so being able to write something about it gave me a lot of help, especially for the future.
When concluding this project I was generally happy with all of my work. I felt that my essay had the right points of view in it and also the use of Havard Referencing was a lot better than my past essays. My dissertation statement is a brief description of what I will be doing for my final year Cats Dissertation. My idea for my dissertation is to write about the history of typography and how typography is a big influence in the current design world. My refelection statement is another brief description of my overall experience of Cats throughout my second year.
