When I was informed about the individual presentation task I knew which subject I was going to do straight away. I felt that doing a timeline on Internet Development would be the best option as I use the internet on a regular basis and I also have a good knowledge of the area I was going to use in my presentation.
When researching I had to look at a lot of websites for my presentation as I used my main idea of speaking about how social networking websites have evolved over the years. I looked at Friends Reunited, Myspace and Facebook. I felt I could talk a lot about this websites as I have used all of these before, the difficult part about finding information about these websites was that most of the searches mainly sent you to the actual website with out giving you any research or statistics. Due to this I used my own knowledge on these websites as I knew quite a bit of information which I felt helped me when writing my presentation script.
When concluding this project I went with the idea of doing my presentation on social networking websites as stated in my research. I felt that this was the best option and I thoroughly enjoyed doing this sort of subject that I had a good knowledge of. I felt that doing my presentation also helped my speaking skills to a group as before this, I had rarely ever spoken to a group in a presentation format.
