For this task we had to produce an online blog for Force-7. This task would be a group project and would require us to use Wordpress to create the blog.

When we were informed about this task we all had a group meeting to decide which areas each of us would concentrate on. Myself and Daniel Farrell were given the responsibilty of design, Andrew Howard and Daniel Whittaker had the responsibility of the development, and Chris Dunn was given the responsibility of project managing.

For this task I looked at the use of icons within blogs and felt that this would be something that would work well as Force-7 like to use seven colours for their specific categories. Once I found a few icon ideas I then went onto creating a few wireframes which can be found here. These were created in photoshop and once I had done these I then went about creating the wireframes in design format with images, colour etc. These wireframes can be found here.

Another area that myself and Daniel Farrell had to look at was the functionality of how to use wordpress. The areas that I spoke about were, logging into Wordpress, the difference between dot org and dot com, time-scale when using Wordpress and the use of themes.

When concluding this project I was generally happy with what I had produced throughout the project and the learning curves that I had from using Wordpress. Wordpress is something that I would only use as a last resort as I feel it is quite an easy way out but the functionality of it is very strange and not easy to use at all.
