The Brief! Produce a video, exactly 60 seconds long. The film must have a narrative - it has to tell a story - with a beginning, a middle and an end - however simple.
The Brief, My brief was to produce a photographic essay composing of 10-20 images. To show progression of your project throughout the duration of the brief with thought given to planning, preparation and experimentation.
Proposal, For this project, I plan to produce a variety of different images. I'm going to experiment with a slow shutter speed on moving objects to create different effects. I also plan on under exposing pictures to produce silhouettes. I aim to use different weather conditions to give different effects and widen my range of images. I am going to take photo's of a production of what humans build for our needs and how it affects nature and the shape of the landscape.
Thoughts? I feel, after completing this project, I have a good understanding of aperture settings and shutter speeds. I did struggle with camera shake with the effect of long shutter speeds. I now feel I have a better eye for taking photo's. One of my favourite pictures is of the old bridge. I felt like making the image black and white with just red made something looking ugly turn into something eye catching. I have also learnt that playing around in photoshop can completely ruin images and sometimes little is more effective.
