The Brief! The student will identify a suitable project idea/topic, formalise through appropriate documentation, and produce an online product to their own specification.
My Idea! The idea is to have a website where people can upload an image of themselves and create a profile then add a small paragraph. Then the gallery will show random photos from around the world allowing any to view what people have to say. The user will be able to pick the location they would like to search from a world map. Once selected the user will be able to add and make friends with people from all nations. The small Message is key to making this work that is why i will limit it to only 5 messages per user. It wont be just any Message but will ask the user to choose to say the words that mean the most to them. They could be words of wisdom, a memory, a joke or something that is very dear to them. The user will be able to delete old messages and resend new ones. This wall will be a worldwide 'I Am Here' to leave a mark or to just share the words you love to people from all over the globe allowing people to connect on a different level.
What Will I Use? To do this project i was debating whether to use flash or the n ew html 5. The problem i had with html 5 was that it wasn't available across browser at this stage. This would contradict the project where it would be available to everyone. So i have chosen to use flash.
