The Brief
To explore a wide range of different websites. Choose a specific category and produce a brief evaluation of a minimum of 5 very different sites within that category. Each site reviewed must be given a star rating for each of the criteria.
Statement of IntentAs I am in the process of setting up my own jewellery shop online I thought it would be interesting to review my competition. I have chosen 6 very different jewellery websites, some are well known jewellery designers whilst others are small businesses like myself.
For another module on my degree I am currently reading 'Dont make me think' by Steve Krugg. Krugg regulary does usability reviews on sites and includes some of the processes he goes through in his book. I am going to use a test he includes in the chapter The Homepage is beyond your control by looking at the homepage of a site you must be able to answer two questions:
1.What is the point of the site?
2.Do you know where to begin?
For these tests I will use another reviewer who hasnt yet visted the site to help answer the questions.

Is the site easy to find if you do not have the URL?
